Helen and Daniel Connaughton built their dream home in Roscommon town in 2018, creating a comfortable and energy-efficient living space for their family. From the beginning, they were committed to constructing a home that met the rigorous Passivhaus standard, ensuring superior energy performance, comfort, and sustainability. To achieve their vision, we provided a KORE insulated raft foundation, which enhances thermal efficiency, and a twin stud passive timber frame filled with high-quality cellulose insulation. Valfac windows were installed to complete the air-tight and well-insulated thermal envelope. As a result, their home excels in energy efficiency while also offering a warm, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing living environment.
