Kilduff Construction is a family run construction firm dedicated to sustainable construction practices. The company focuses on the construction of new Passivhaus Standard low energy housing and on deep retrofit of existing housing stock. The company is also proficient in restoring older heritage and derelict buildings, transforming them into modern A rated homes and all the while in keeping with the principals of the circular economy.
In 2024 the company rebranded with a new green logo and new company slogan, ‘Building Sustainably’ reflecting the company’s desire and determination to not only build sustainable buildings but also to do so in a sustainable low carbon manner. In accordance with this determination, the company has aggressively progressed its transition to low-carbon sustainable transport during the past three years and now has a fleet of six electric vehicles.
The company has also invested in micro-generation and is providing some of the electric power for the fleet with its own renewable energy. Further investment in micro-generation is planned. It also has two traditional ICE vehicles running on HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil), which has a siginficantly lower carbon footprint than diesel.
